Carbon footprint of the plastic injection process

Evaluation of the environmental impact of the production of plastic parts by injection. A Life Cycle Analysis of the different references in the catalog has been carried out and a carbon footprint self-assessment tool has been programmed for the company's internal decision-making and the environmental labeling of its production.

 

All the associated processes have been taken into account, as well as the different local and outsourced production scenarios, materials for moulds, intermediate packaging, etc. Parallel to the environmental evaluation, a selection of recycled plastics has been carried out according to the production criteria and performance of the most common parts.
