Environmental evaluation of illuminated information supports for retail

Kendu is the leading brand in the design and manufacture of illuminated image supports for retail. The company's determination is to offer its customers the most sustainable product on the market in its category. With this objective, it has relied on Elisava Research in collaboration with OiKo to deepen the circularity of the product and the quantification and reduction of environmental impacts.
The first step has been the evaluation of the general carbon footprint of the product and understanding the contribution in CO2 emissions of the different stages of the product, the different material alternatives and use and distribution scenarios. In parallel, we have carried out an evaluation of the circularity of the product and proposals for improvement have been made in terms of substitution of materials and redesign of components.
