Lekue, a company specializing in the manufacturing of highly successful silicone kitchen products, has partnered with OiKo to develop a collection and recycling system for their used products. Silicone is an excellent material for kitchen and high-temperature products but currently poses the challenge of being non-recyclable through conventional means and lacking a selective collection channel. Thanks to the developed system, it is now possible to reintroduce these materials into specific design processes with added design value.
