Modular program for furnishing coworking spaces
MOB, 2020
Coworking spaces require a specialized type of furniture that serves the functions of office equipment while accommodating the multifunctional and collective use nature of these spaces. Alejandro Papadopoulos, co-founder of the MOB coworking chain, commissioned us to design a modular program that would enable the rapid opening of new centers with a recognizable and shared brand image. The main objective was to incorporate work, storage, and relaxation needs into a single system, making it flat-packable and adaptable to different scales.
The proposal is based on an L-profile system, perforated sheet metal, and recycled plastic boards, allowing the construction of desks, sofas, shelves, as well as various storage modules like drawers and shelf dividers. The project was developed in late 2019 and early 2020, but the pandemic and lockdown disrupted the plans and the state of shared workspaces.
